Melina Kanakaredes

Melina Kanakaredes (born May 25 of 1970) is an American actress who is best known for portraying detective Stella Bonasera on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: NY, Dr. Sydney Hansen and Lane Hunter respectively on NBC's Providence drama and The Resident's medicine drama The Resident. Additionally, she earned high praise for her first television role on Guiding Light on CBS as Eleni Cooper. Her most notable movies are 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Snitch. It is reported that she is developing a movie adaptation of writer Elisabeth Kubler-Ross's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the team who wrote the movie Immortals. In addition, she is filming an upcoming TV series called Gods & Heroes.
