She was born Kellie Dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. Pickler experienced a turbulent childhood. When she was only two, the mother of her child left her in order to escape an unfaithful relationship. In 1995, she was returned into the world of Pickler and was granted the custody rights. However it did not work out as planned. So when she was 12 the court returned Pickler to her parents - they raised her up to the age of adulthood. Pickler was too occupied being a mom in the absence of both her parents. The mother of three admitted that she did not have time to go to school and began learning how to be a homemaker from a young age. Pickler was part of the middle and high school's cheerleading squad. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004 is her school of choice. Pickler was also a beauty pageant contestant. In the past, she was named Miss Stanly County.
